I have had the misfortune to place an order with SIMPLY ELECTRONICS. Please everyone who reads this spread the word, DO NOT BUY FROM SIMPLY, this sham outfit is a total con ! I regard myself as one of the lucky ones as I have finally received my money back which they took from my credit card without dispatching my purchase, they seems to advertise goods which do not have in stock, take your money straight away and then you have to fight to get your money back. I wish I had read the numerous bad reviews I have read since about this company (for want of a better word), it would have saved me a lot of anxiety and heartache. BEWARE everyone, do not buy from SIMPLY ELECTRONICS they are SIMPLY A CON!

I got a lens from them (Tamron AF70-300) which went wrong at 6months and took 2 months to repair (with the wrong lens sent to me , and twice sent to the wrong address. It has failed again after 15 months (13 if you count the 2 I could not use it for). I have since found out that the reason for the in house warranty is because they are imports. Under EU law if they were genuine UK lens they would come with a EU warranty card. I am now left with a lens which is US, and no come back on Simply, they just do not want to know.

Received Nikon D3100 from this company after waiting and getting fobbed off with delivery times. Asked whether it was a UK model, "yes" they said. Wrong, I received a Japanese import that doesn't qualify for the Nikon Cashback as the offer applies only to Nikon UK! Additionally, they'd opened the box and supplied a crude japanese-UK travel adapter for the charger and photocopied manual. When switching on camera it was set to Japanese, and had to figure out how to change it to english!. The Website and Item are purposely mis-leading.

They took money from my credit card on the same day that I placed my order. A few days later I received an email wanting "identity verification" documents (household bill) and a photograph of the front of my credit card. Stupidly, I complied, but they still didn't process my order. After 10 days waiting, I asked for a refund. Since then, they have "simply" (no pun intended) been wasting my time until I finally opened a dispute through my credit card company. However, more than six weeks later I still haven't got my money back.
This company alos pretends to be based in the UK as a "Limited" company, but is actually based in Hong Kong so you will not be protected by UK trading laws if you purchase from them and your goods will not qualify for a UK warranty. According to Companies House "Simply Electronics Ltd" does not exist!!!

If you want to know about this company have a look on AV forums website. It doesn't get worse. Do not deal with Simple Electronics if you want to stay sane.

Do not buy from this company. They are not worth the hassle, they take money from your credit card
and then ask for you to send them a scanned copy of a utility bill and credit card before they will send goods. Like the person above says, check out AV Forums if you need any more convincing.

Reply to RGee above: Even when you do send them a scanned copy of a utility bill and a photo of your credit card, sometimes they still don't send your goods - that you have already paid for!

Got conned out of £414.95 for a Nikon D3100 camera which was never dispatched to me. Asked for a card refund and guess what, I never got that either. Am now trying to recover my money through Mastercard.
